Altess Levoire is the fourth main quest in Stellar Blade. This one takes place in Wasteland, the first big open area where you can explore, look for collectibles, side quests, or just continue the main story.

During this quest, you’ll need to access the Altess Levoire, a strange area, and find a Hyper Cell.

As you reach Wasteland, you’ll find a Supply Camp right at the beginning, on your left. However, it can’t be used. It turns out, you need to activate a tower nearby to bring this Camp and all the ones you find in the area power. This will give you the new side quest, Reboot!, and the objective will be marked on the map.

While activating the Solar Tower is not part of the main quest and you don’t need to move forward, activating Camps and Payphones is important for restoring your life, and having save and fast travel points, so we will cover this first.

How to Complete Reboot! and Activate the Solar Tower in Wasteland

From the useless Camp, you can only go forward. You will find a small orange robot in the way. It will have the Xion #2 Document.

Keep going until you turn right. Here’s a new enemy in the shape of a butcher.

Beware of a small spider inside the left box before this creature. There will be another Creeper behind the latter, too.
advertisement

This enemy, called Hedgeboar, has the following attacks. It can perform a pink move, which you should use to your advantage by pressing Circle + Behind when your sword glows.

To perform this skill, Repulse, you need to have it unlocked first.

Its most common attack is a two-handed blow with low start-up and jump. Beware of the distance because it can reach you from short-to-medium ranges. Another regular attack is a two-combo hit, and a variation that starts the same, but it has a third hit, and then the creature rolls.

The Hedgeboar has a red attack, which consists of five hits, the last one coming after a roll. If you get the timing right, this is the best opportunity to break the enemy’s balance, since it has only four balance points.

Naturally, it has a yellow attack which is a double-slice blow that you can’t block or parry.

A quick tip for this first Hedgeboar is that you can actually insta-kill it by waiting for it to turn its back to you and stealthy going for the kill with Ambush.

Barren Land

After dealing with it and going forward, the paths will open in the region. Deal with some Creepers coming from left and right, then move to the right, where there’s a body near a tree. It has the Memory Stick Citizen 439’s Resignation.

advertisement

Now open your map and check the Solar Tower location gain. You need to go to the West from here. Follow the path to your right and start the journey.

Apart from Hedgeboars and creatures you already know, you’ll find a new regular enemy called Mite. These are eyeless beats with big heads that move quickly. They don’t come with many moves (they can perform a spin forward or attack with their tail doing a spin, which you’ll predict because they will show the tail first). They have little health.

While you can perfectly parry their moves, you shouldn’t worry too much about that. These creatures don’t have Balance, so it’s not that worthy.

When you reach the tower’s area, you’ll have to talk to a drone at the entrance of it.

Speak with it and get inside. Start climbing the tower, using the drones with platforms, the ledges, and the regular platforms, always going up.

When you see a tiny drone with a bullseye, shoot it because it will leave a rope that lets you go down quickly.

Keep moving and you’ll find a Red Suitcase near the power device of the tower. It contains the Camouflage-Type Exospine.

advertisement

Continue platforming on your left and you’ll find the drone that you need to help. Interact with it and you’ll be ready to activate the power device mentioned before. Do that and the Solar Tower will be back on.

You have to talk to the drone at the ground and the side quest will be completed.

Before going back to the main route, note that you can find a new Supply Camp near the Solar Tower, to the left of it.

Back to the road, you now need to go to the southeast side of the map. If you open it, it’s the diamond marker before a narrow path, which you can see below.

You can go back to where the path began to open in Wasteland (after the first Hedgeboar and Creepers) and go forward, avoiding any unnecessary fights like the Hedgeboar on your left.

You need to follow the Lab sign with blood. There will be two yellow spiders on the way, with small spiders and another big one near a body that you’ll find if you keep going forward. It has the Memory Stick Sentinel 82’s Report.

advertisement

When going past the Lab sign, you’ll find a Fiz machine on the left. Interact with it and you’ll get a can (GrainT Corn) and trigger a chat with Lily.

Go forward, past the Northlake Mall sign and you’ll reach an area with red walls on the right side. You’ll unlock the wall-running ability here.

You only need to jump towards the wall and Eve will automatically perform the move. To get better results, you can sprint a bit by pressing L3 before jumping.

Follow the narrow path and you’ll find a second red wall on the right.

If you want to explore, there’s a small passage with three walls on your left.

advertisement

Scrap Plains

Loading
Play

After that last red wall, you’ll be in the Scrap Plains. There’s a Supply Camp on the left.

Go right, ignoring the structure in front of you — unless you want to explore, of course. Two new enemies will appear. The one with a cloak and holding a spear is called Old Droid, and it feels pretty erratic with its movements. The other one is a Turret Droid, which shoots rockets.

[If the Old Droid strikes the floor before attacking, it will attack once. It has a blue move, and its red has three hits: after the first one, there is a pause and then a one-two combo.

Deal first with the Turret Droid and then tackle the other one. When you’re done, follow the elevated ground on the right.

When up, you’ll find a Creeper. Keep going forward, turn right, and follow the narrow path with yellow paint.

Two small spiders will be on the way. As you descend following the main, you’ll meet a new creature whose shape looks like a flower. This is called Waster.

advertisement

When it is far from you, the Waster throws projectiles. When close, it can attack with two regular attacks: one headbutt or a short one-two combo. It also has a red move, which is a one-two, pause, third hit, and a blue attack at the end.

Before moving forward, you can open a red container on your right. You’ll find an NPC asking for a Sentinel. This gives you the Incarceration side quest.

Following the main path, you’ll find a Camp.

From it, turn back and turn left, going for the metal platform. (Beware of a Waster in the area).

As soon as you place your foot on the platfrom, descend on the left for a body. It has the Memory Stick Legionnaire 295’s Order.

Before the lift at the end, grab the Eagle-type Exospine inside the Red Suitcase on the right.

Use the lift. At the bottom, if you go forward, you’ll find a locked door. Go anyway because there’s a body on the right, with the Memory Stick Scavenger 216’s Advice.

advertisement

Turn back and follow the linear path. You will find Creepers and a Waster.

Keep going forward and check your right. There’s a Hedgeboar, two small spiders, and a tentacle. Clean the area and you’ll find an Angel’s Body with a Body Core.

Tentacles only attack in a two-hit combo pattern. They don’t have Balance.

From the body, turn back. You’ll find a Supply Camp under a bridge.

If you haven’t already and you can spare a few Drone Upgrade Modules, unlock as many ammo types as you can. These will come in handy soon.

On the right, there’s a locked door. But in front of you, you’ll find a huge blue structure: the Altess Levoire.

As you reach its entrance, you’ll see Royal Guard Quiel again. She won’t let you pass unless you beat her trial, which is a parry challenge.

Royal Guard Quiel Parry Boss Challenge

This is not a proper boss fight. To succeed and move forward, you need to correctly perfect parry all of Quiel’s attacks in a specific sequence. She performs a red move that has six blows in a fixed pattern. She will only do this sequence and restore her balance points if you miss even one Perfect Parry.

If you’re not good at parrying in games or in Stellar Blade in particular, take a moment to practice because you won’t be able to follow the story without completing this section. Hopefully, if you die, the last Camp is just behind you, and Quiel will perform the same combo with the same sequence every time.

Quiel’s pattern is the following -> first hit after red glow, the second one closely, a pause with her moving the spear around, the third blow, a fourth one that is a spinning attack, the fifth is a quick uppercut, and then the last one is a slam to the floor.

You should parry the first two blows almost together, then wait, parry one, then the last three almost together.

Once you got it and broke her balance, congratulations! Now you need to repeat this two more times. And if you fail and die, you’ll have to restart from the beginning. But don’t worry, it’ll get easier with each try.

After completing the challenge, she will step away and you’ll be free to enter the structure and use the lift.

advertisement

Research Lab Entrance

After descending and entering the new area, Eve notices that she can’t use her sword anymore nor activate the drone’s scan. In the following segment, you’ll only be able to shoot with your drone.

While you definitely can get out of ammo at moments, don’t worry — there will be ammo and devices to restock in almost every room.

Move forward, press the red button, and enter the new room. Use the device on the left to replenish ammo if you need it. On the right side is a body with EXP, next to the next door.

Descend the stairs, pick up the Log You Are Fake Data Bank, and open the door at the end. You’ll be in a new area.

Purification Scanner

Here you’ll have to wall-run the wall on your right, jump to the left one, and then use the rope.

advertisement

Go forward and you’ll find the Booting Sequence Log in the way.

Open the door, and before opening the next, a creature inside a red bag will appear. This is called a Test Subject. If you get too close, it will explode in a short range. However, if you shoot it to death, it will also explode. So keep this in mind when you’re running low on ammo.

Use the door and enter the area with a large bridge. At some point, two Test Subjects will drop, and one more will appear behind them.

Deal with them and use the door. Before the next one, an Infector will appear. As its name implies, this looks like a worker who suffered a mutation. Shoot quickly at it at the head and the Infector will expose its weak point.

From this point forward until the end of Altess Levoire, always look at your enemies’ hips. They will carry something that looks like a red pouch, which is actually an explosive. Always shoot this first as it will deal a nice chunk of damage to your enemies.

Open the door and use the Camp on the left.

advertisement

Use the green button to open the door and run: you’ll have only a few seconds to reach the door before it closes. When running, make a jump where the red tube is, and dash forward — part of the floor will fall.

If you fail, don’t worry. You can repeat this many times as Eve only loses a bit of health when falling.

Security Center

The next room is the Security Center. Two Test Subjects are moving around. Advance and two more will appear. Also, the body lying on the left wall will become an Infector.

Loot the Crate before the next door, which has Extreme Polymer Materials. But beware of an Infector that will appear.

The door’s locked. Turn back and you will notice a narrow path on the left of the door where you came before. There’s a body with EXP right there, but beware of an Infector hiding behind the wall on your right.

Here you’ll learn that Infectors have a grab. To escape, you will have to press Square multiple times.

advertisement

Inside the control room, you’ll meet a new creature: the Mutated Defiler. This one throws balls when far, and it can attack with its claws when close. Its weak point appears next to its mouth. However, when you finish it, note that it will drop two Test Subjects that it is currently carrying on its back.

As explained before, you can shoot the red object on its hip for an explosion.

When done, press the green button in front of you. An Infector and two Test Subjects will appear behind you.

There’s also a PC on the right of the green button that has the Log Humanity Liberation Front.

Go through the new open door and you’ll enter a new area.

Sector A07

Sector A07 is a platforming section. You’ll see that most of the platforms in front of you have symbols that represent PlayStations’ iconic buttons (Triangle, O, X, and Square). You basically need to jump into the platforms in a fixed pattern or you will fall and have to retry it from the beginning.

advertisement

This is the pattern to follow -> Triangle, O, X, Square. You can’t jump to the ones without symbols.

At the end, before the door, you’ll find the Log Security Procedure Guide on your right. Then open the door for a Camp before the new area.

Specimen Preservation Lab

This Lab room is a puzzle section, but you can’t start the puzzle yet. First you need to climb the ladder on the right and press the first green button you find to open the door.

Don’t go there just yet, as there’s an Infector waiting for you on the left side.

Another Infector will be one on the left. Then you will find a Crate that you need to breach. It will give you materials and potions.

Get out, follow the path, and reach the red button with sparks. Enter and defeat three spiders on the right.

advertisement

On the left, you’ll find the Log Visitor Information. Then turn back and press the green button at the other end of the room.

The door on the other side will be opened. Get out, turn right, and face the door with two Infectors will open. There’s only ammo inside that room, so don’t bother if you don’t need it. Use the green button at the end and jump into the platform to reach the other side.

Enter the door you opened before. A Drone Upgrade Module will be on the table on the left.

Turn back and press the new green button at the end of the bloody passage. The lasers on the ground floor now work.

Open the door on your left. It will take a few moments to open, and a new enemy, the Defiler will enter.

It’s like a more regular version of the Mutated Defiler. It can grab you and it attacks with arms and projectiles. Instead of two, it drops one Test Subject when defeated.

advertisement

After the Defiler, two Infectors and one Mutated Defiler will also try to enter the room.

Deal with them, get out, go to the right, and before the green button for the platform, an Infector will come out from the room nearby. Defeat it, enter inside, and open the Legion Supply Box on the right.

When ready, press the green button, use the platform, and descend with the ladder.

How to Solve the Flower Laser Puzzle

Once you’re on the ground floor, you’ll have to solve a puzzle involving these reflectors in the shape of flowers. Basically, you need to redirect the laser and create a circuit in the form of a square. But don’t worry, we will go step by step.

First go to the right side of the room. This first flower, the one already reflecting the laser, can’t be moved.

Follow the end of the beam and pick the second flower. This one can be moved, but beware: the chambers around you can explode when the laser touches them for a few seconds, and they have Infectors inside.

advertisement
Instead of being careful not to break the chambers, destroy as many of them as you can. The enemies will take a moment to come for you, and you can deplete their health with the same laser you’re moving — although your gun is better. Cleaning the room will give you some useful EXP and you’ll finish the puzzle without problems.
The laser can hurt you, mind you.

So, move the second flower to make it reflect the laser to the other side of the room, in a straight line.

Pick up the third flower, which is on the left side of the room, to the left of the door you used to enter here. Again, put it to reflect the beam to the needed wall.

Now you have to pick up the flower that is near the input device you need the laser to reach. You need to reflect the laser to a glass on the left side of the area. That glass has another flower behind it.

When you are done, simply move this new flower in front of the input device and move the third one in a position where you can continue the beam direction as you want.

Completing the puzzle will give you a Fusion Cell that you can use in the device near the locked door. Now you can use a lift to the next section.

Top-Secret Research Complex

Loading
Play

This is a very brief section. It just has a Camp on your right and a body with EXP before the next door. Rest, claim your experience points, and move on.

Deteriorated Lobby

Here you have to make a few steps forward, and you’ll be trapped in a square with lasers. What do you have to do? Easy, just shoot everything that moves until the creatures stop coming.

First there will be spiders, then Infectors, Test Subjects, and a Mutated Defiler. The final round before the lasers go off are two Infectors and one Defiler at the same time.

Remember to shoot the red pouch on their hips.

When ready, press the green button and use the elevator near the entrance door.

advertisement

Go to the Camp in front of you. Turn back and meet the Hive on your right. This is a new type of enemy that can’t move, but it can throw projectiles that explode and even drop Test Subjects. If you’re too close, it can also attack around itself with a liquid.

Shoot the three yellow spots to deal a good chunk of damage and destroy the creature. Unfortunately, not all the Hives you find will have weak points like these ones, but also take advantage when you can.

Walk forward and on the other side, turn left for a locker and a Crate. Just be mindful of an Infector jumping behind you after you open the latter.

Open the door and you’ll enter a contaminated hallway.

Go straight and Adam’s drone will scan a body.

You need to check it for a passcode. And you can also find a Drone Upgrade Module on the left, on a trolley.

advertisement

Walk until the end of the room, and you’ll find a door that is blocked. You need to turn back and follow your drone, but before that, there’s a Supply Box on your left.

Adam will activate a door near the entrance. Use the code you found before and descend.

You will enter a new zone.

Air Vent

A big room with a fan at the end. Start going forward and the Hive will activate the air vent. Wait for the rockets to destroy most of the flammable barrels, then move forward avoiding both rockets and the boxes flying towards you.

The objects fly in straight lines, mostly.

When near the Hive, hit the weak points and destroy it. Go past the first fan, and before going through the second one, climb the ladder on the left.

advertisement

This Secured Crate requires the update Hacking Tool, but if you have it, it will give you some useful Extreme Nano Elements.

Go back to the lower floor and descend using the ladder at the end of the room. You’ll find a body with EXP right there.

Follow the only way, taking care of a Mutated Defiler and one Infector. Continue the path and you’ll find a Secured Crate that you need to breach before the ladder.

This breaching mini-game is a bit different from the one you have been doing so far. It has arrowheads, yes, but it’s not linear. Instead of going from left to right and top to bottom, the arrowhead you need to press will shine. You need to press the directions as they are turned on. It will be a bit more difficult than the other mini-game at first, but give it time. You have unlimited retries!

Use the ladder and find a Supply Camp. You need to rest here to interact with your team. Then keep going up and climb another ladder.

Heart of the Infection

Maelstrom Boss Fight

advertisement

You’ll reach the Heart of the Infection room, which is the arena for the one and only boss of Altess Levoire: Maelstrom. This is a big creature formed by many bodies and Test Subjects.

As soon as the fight starts, you’ll notice that it has three weak points. That’s where your shots need to go. While shooting the monster anywhere will decrease its health, firing the weak spots will deal the most damage. What's more, they will break after a certain amount of damage, and when the three are broken, Maelstrom will stop moving and show a new weak point inside its mouth for a few seconds.

Let’s go over what you need to dodge while shooting. If Maelstrom is aiming at the floor with its mouth, it will emit a beam upwards with its mouth. Otherwise, it will shoot a laser from one side to the other.

When it comes to projectiles, it can throw three destroyable balls that stay in the air for a while. These explode when they reach the floor, leaving pools. Maelstrom also can shoot multiple projectiles from right to left. Test Subjects will appear from the bigger projectiles that it shoots with its hand, near itself.

As for yellow attacks, Maelstrom can throw three projectiles to the floor or create an expansive burst — you’ll see the floor marked with red lines around it.

For this fight, you “simply” need to shoot and dodge. Focusing on the weak spots as much as you can, of course. You’ll get ammo from the Test Subjects and randomly on the floor, so your mags won’t be empty.

Of all the ammo types that you might have unlocked, we recommend using Slugs and Shotgun bullets. The beam takes quite a while to charge, and the missiles don’t deal too much damage. You will be dealing much more damage and as fast as possible with these two.

As rewards, you’ll get a Weapon Core, resources, the Shield Penetration Gear, the Beta Charge Gear 2, gold, and EXP.
advertisement

Maelstrom (Altess Levoire)

After the battle is done, Eve will grab the next Hyper Cell. Also, she will find a “Legion”, a device that contains a message in a hologram.
