Ryan Leston is a contributing freelancer for IGN covering all the biggest film and TV news across the internet. After extensively covering comic book movies and Star Wars flicks, Ryan has expertise in a wide range of pop culture franchises, as well as smaller indie productions.
Ryan has over 10 years of experience in the movie industry with bylines at Yahoo! and /Film among others. He has attended Star Wars Celebration, covered the Oscars and BAFTAs, and even attended international film festivals such as Cannes and Venice. Ryan also contributes to IGN’s video games coverage and thinks Fortnite’s no-build mode really should be here to stay. He recently returned to university and obtained his MA News Journalism.
When he’s not writing, Ryan can be found playing retro arcade games at a video game bar in Cardiff (you know the one) and catching up on his ever-increasing watch list. He loves the magic of cinema and thinks there’s nothing better than a packed screening on opening night with a crowd that’s just itching to see the next big blockbuster.
